Yes. Both the buyer and the seller need a free Trusthold account. You sign up with your phone number and email, and can log in with either.
Nothing right now. Trusthold is free while we launch, so the buyer pays the item price and nothing more. If that changes, we'll announce it before it applies to any deal. Trusthold fee: ₦0 (free during launch).
You pay by bank transfer into Trusthold's account, and it stays there until the deal is done. It's only released when you say the item is fine, or 48 hours after you confirm it arrived with no problem reported.
Open the deal and tap Report a problem, then tell us what happened. The money stays held while a person looks into it. If a shipped item isn't confirmed as arrived within 5 days, our team checks in anyway.
Within 48 hours of confirming it arrived, tap Report a problem and add a video of opening the package, recorded in one go. A person reviews the proof from both sides, then releases the money to the seller or refunds you.
When the buyer releases payment, or 48 hours after they confirm it arrived. Trusthold sends the money by bank transfer to the bank account in the seller's profile. If the seller has just changed that bank account, the payout waits 24 hours as a safety check.
